Mary draws on her years of advocating for Wards in the Public Guardianship program, as well as her deep interest in ethics, to work with management and interdisciplinary teams toward regulatory compliance and balancing effectiveness and best practices with the efficient use of resources.
Mary’s hospice work has included clinical administration, extensive document review and evaluation, regulatory compliance, investigations, Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) program evaluation, and audit participation on the internal, private and governmental levels. Her work for Weatherbee spans pre-billing and other clinical record audits; document and policy reviews; due diligence evaluations; Medicare Administrative Contractor (MAC) and Medicaid Integrity Contractor (MIC) audits; fraud and other investigations; on-site program assessment; research projects; and drafting independent expert opinion statements. Her clinical experience is enhanced by her years of experience in legal research, preparation and trial work, resulting in thorough work product and cohesive presentations.
